GPS orienteering leadership retreat activity

Orienteering Quest 

Navigate through historic mountain towns or scenic outdoor areas using GPS devices and teamwork. This experience strengthens communication, decision-making, and leadership as teams solve clues, locate hidden items, and complete cognitive challenges. Find creative photo ops and historical discoveries along the way.​

Program Details:

  • Duration: 2-4 hours, based on group size, goals, and time constraints

  • Collaboration & Strategy: Teams develop a game plan, adapt to new information, and work together to maximize their score while racing against the clock.

  • Customization: Challenges can be tailored to include company-specific themes, historical facts, or personalized objectives.

You vs. Wild

Put your teamwork to the test in high-pressure, survival-based scenarios inspired by real-world wilderness challenges. Navigate dynamic outdoor environments, solve critical problems, and apply communication and leadership skills to successfully “rescue” your team. This immersive experience helps teams develop problem-solving techniques that transfer seamlessly to professional settings.​

Program Details:

  • Duration: 2-4 hours, based on group size, goals, and time constraints

  • Survival Scenarios: Teams face simulated wilderness emergencies, from locating missing teammates in rugged terrain to navigating unknown environments (e.g. zero visibility, lost teammate, glacier survival, communications lost, etc.)

  • Challenge by Choice: All challenges are designed with safety in mind, ensuring everyone can participate at a level they’re comfortable with.

Maze event Boulder Scavenger Hunt

Interactive Scavenger Hunt

This program is designed to challenge teams with riddles and clues that lead them to hidden historical, cultural, and geographical treasures. As participants work together to navigate the course, they will strengthen collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills—while having a lot of fun along the way.​

Program Details:

  • Duration 1-4 hours, based on group size, goals, and time constraints

  • Dynamic Challenges: Each treasure found presents a mini team-building test focused on collaboration, decision-making, and creative thinking. (e.g., Wagon Build, Focus Ring, Maze)

  • Customizable Experience: The hunt can be adapted to prioritize speed, teamwork, creativity, or problem-solving depending on your group’s objectives

Aviation Creation

A unique hands-on experience where groups work together to build an object that takes flight. Using only the tools provided—or negotiating trades with other teams—participants must design, build, and present their masterpieces.​

Program Details:

  • Duration: 1-3 hours, based on group size, goals, and time constraints

  • Team-Based Aviation Creation: Groups receive various materials and must collaborate to design and build their flying object

  • Creative Expression & Competition: Finished objects will be judged based on originality, complexity, and teamwork, with an optional awards ceremony.
