Benefits of Experiential Team Building
Learn & Grow
Research shows that team challenges change the way we understand our physical bodies, our relationships to others, and our own sense of self worth. Below are a few more benefits of experiential team building that has been supported by rigorous empirical research.
Make Your Time Count
Even shorter, four-hour low initiative programs appear to have a significant positive effect on self-efficacy (personal confidence). In addition, this increased confidence has been shown to remain over a six-week period.
Benefits For The Group
Enhance communication skills, improve critical thinking and problem solving skills, enhance trust, improve decision making skills, enhance teamwork, improve planning skills, enhance leadership, and enhance cooperation.
Individual Benefits
Overcoming personal limitations & prejudices, increase confidence & self-esteem, enhance coordination & agility, develop an understanding of and respect for individual differences, promote expression of authentic thought & feelings.
What is Most Valuable?
An analysis of ropes course outcomes indicated that working as a team was listed most frequently (by 16.6% of respondents), followed by developing trust (10.2%), communication (9.4%), awareness (becoming more aware of others or oneself) (6.1%), and leadership (5.9%).
